Property Summary
Full Details
Taylors Estates are delighted to bring to market this superb Studio apartment, set on the fourth (top) floor of the popular Lunar House development within the heart of Preston City Centre. The location offers convenient access to UCLan and transport links, with the bus and train stations both within walking distance, as well as all the amenities associated with the City Centre.
Lunar House itself is comprised of 20 apartments with its entrance on Lune Street; the communal front door has a fob-controlled entry system, which leads into a hallway with postboxes for the respective apartments. At the end of the hallway is a staircase leading up to the apartments themselves, with the subject property being located on the fourth floor, which is the top floor as far as residential usage is concerned (there is one further landing which is purely for roof access). From the stairwell, a door opens into a hallway with private doors to the individual Studios.
Upon entering the subject apartment, you are welcomed by surprisingly spacious accommodation, which is light and bright, thanks to large windows providing plenty of unencumbered, natural light. On the wall to the left of the entrance is an intercom system for visitors to call up from the main entrance and allows remote unlocking of the door to the block.
The first area of note in the property is the Kitchen, this has a stylish finish with contrasting light and dark wood-effect doors. There is a tall unit to the right-hand end, this houses the hot water tank in the upper cupboard and below is a washing machine. This is a huge selling point for the property; the development has a communal Laundry Room and so normally occupiers would need to rely on this, whilst the Laundry Room would still be available, the fact that the current owners have made provision for a washing machine means that the property is completely self-contained. There are further appliances included in the Kitchen in the form of an electric oven, two-ring induction hob and extractor above, as well as an integrated fridge (with freezer compartment) and sink with incorporated draining board. Completing the Kitchen is a neat table and chairs, the surface of the table matches the light wood-effect of the respective kitchen cupboards, a nice touch!
Beyond the Kitchen, the accommodation opens out to the full width of the apartment. To the right-hand corner is a seating area, which features a two-seat sofa, a matching single chair and a TV and unit, none of which make the space feel cluttered. The sofa backs onto a unit with shelving which, on the reverse, also doubles as the headboard for the bed. This is a clever use of the space and softly divides the living space from the bedroom area. The bed is built-in and fixed, with the headboard having a reading lamp incorporated. The current owners have attached a TV to the wall at the end of the bed which creates another comfortable space for relaxing. To the left-hand elevation of the property is a dressing space with a large two-door wardrobe providing good storage.
Located centrally in the apartment is the Shower room; this has a modern white toilet and sink, built-in into a vanity unit, with a large mirror fixed to the wall behind. There is a shower cubicle with folding doors and a heated towel rail too.
