About Taylors Estates
Taylors Estates is a local independent Residential and Commercial Property Agent, specialising in Sales, Lettings and Property Management and owned and managed by Richard and Kimberley Taylor. With offices based on Lune Street in Preston City Centre, we predominantly cover the Preston, Chorley and Leyland areas however, particularly on the commercial side, cover across Lancashire.
Having been landlords since 2008, they were always keen to do more in the property sector and when the opportunity arose in 2015 to purchase an existing Preston based Franchise, Richard and his wife, Kimberley, took the plunge. In 2020 they took the next step and began trading as an independent agent.
Their simple, straightforward approach is based on the fact that they are local people servicing local people. They don’t have call centres or remote staff, one call to the office will put you through to the member of the team you need to speak to.
The structure of the team means that although each member of the team has individual areas of responsibility they can all cross over to help out when necessary to provide a client centred service ensuring that you always feel like our number one priority.
Meet the team
Richard Taylor - Director
After spending 15 years working on Government contracts within the Welfare to Work industry the time was right for a change and so in 2015 after looking at several opportunities we purchased an existing franchise in Preston.
Five years in and the opportunity arose to begin trading as an independent while keeping the same core business.
Day to day Richard looks after the sales side of the business, conducting valuations & marketing the properties through to completion of sales.
Over the coming months he will also be looking to develop the newest service we are offering as we move into Commercial Property, both sales and management.
Kimberley Taylor - Director
With a background and qualifications in Business and Marketing Kimberley returned to work, after taking some time out to look after Richard & Kimberleys six children, when we took over the business in 2015.
In the main Kimberley now works from home taking care of payroll and ensuring we stay up to date with everything HR, she also has recently started the daily processing and payment of rental income as we have brought this part of the business in house.
Kimberley also has input into the overall marketing strategy of the business.
KYLE BUSHELL - LETTINGS MANAGER
Kyle has been with us for 5 years, prior to which he worked for Colleys which was the Surveying and Valuation arm of the Lloyds Banking Group.
He started as maternity cover for our Property Manager and then moved into the Lettings side of operations when she returned to work.
His knowledge and experience in the lettings sector makes him ideally placed to assist both our existing landlords as well as those looking to start or grow their property portfolio.
Tom Youles - Property Manager
Tom has been with us for almost a year and has quickly become a key member of the Taylors Estates team.
He has full responsibility for the management of tenanted properties and active tenancies. He liaises between tenant, landlord & contractor for both routine and responsive maintenance. As part of his role Tom also carries out the routine inspections on fully managed properties and negotiates tenancy renewals.
RICHARD WATKINSON - SALES & COMMERCIAL
New to the Taylors Estates team for 2021 is Richard Watkinson, who joins us as we look to grow the Commercial side of the business.
Richard is a Business Consultant with over 10 years’ experience with a demonstrated history of success working across a multitude of sectors including Recruitment, Multimedia, Advertising, Healthcare, Charitable and Hospitality/ Leisure sectors, working with Multi-Million Pound Enterprises to small SME and high street businesses.
Working alongside our Director, Richard Taylor, he will be focusing primarily on the Commercial Property side of the things with some involvement also in Residential Sales.
Evangeline Taylor - Social Media Assistant
In the spirit of being a family busines our daughter Evangeline has joined us part time as of August 2020, having recently completed her GCSE’s.
Evie’s responsibility will be for our Social Media platforms. She will be creating content for both our social media posts as well as the ‘Insights’ section of our website, as well as uploading content from guest writers. She will also be coordinating the video content soon to be produced.
